Okay, so I had a setback and now I'm back at it. Started back at the gym today. I realize that it's easier for me to go to the gym AFTER work vs DURING work hours. I plan to make weekly short term goals vs something too big of a goal for me to maintain. My motto "SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE"
I realize that I honestly have to do this for me. Not because everyone else has something to say but because I truly care about my health and well being. I want to be able sit and not "breathe heavy".
I'm only 5'3'' and I weigh 194 lbs. Now best believe I'm embarrassed to type that number, however, by mentioning it to the public makes it real to myself. I've tried everything I could. I've had results and got down to 187. But then stopped. I truly believe that because my heart and mindset wasn't truly in it, I started back eating everything that was wrong and gained weight back.
Well, I recently had a reality check. On last week, sitting in the living room with my guy, he turned to me and was like "why you breathing so hard?!" Talk about crushed!!! I didn't even realize that I was breathing heavy just sitting on the couch. So with that, I made a mental note that it's time to repurpose it in my heart and get my mind right.
I'm making weekly goals so that I can keep up with my progress and be able to document/blog it to help others.
I would like to thank @HealtyJenelle for her tips, videos, etc that she documents her weightloss/healthy lifestyle journey. She's truly inspiring and I hope to be able to meet her one day to let her know. (She's even helped me with my natural hair journey....one of the first people I've ever followed since transitioning)
Okay so my goal this week is to build endurance and stamina. I started today with doing 30 minutes straight on the treadmill at a 4.0 incline at 3.0 mpg......my goal by the end of the week is to make it between 3.5 to 4.0. I'm not a runner, however I would like to be able to run one day.
I've stopped drinking pop (which I haven't had in a while anyway) and I'm researching foods. I wanna figure out what works for me. I do know that I love the green smoothies and those helped me before so I definitely plan to keep them in my regimen. As far as other foods and snacks, I definitely need to set an eating/snacking schedule.
I'll continue to document/blog about my progress. Again, I'm doing this for me! If it helps anyone, that would be AWESOME!!!
Until next blog.............TeeKay
